How do I get to AIE's Sydney Campus?
The 501 from Central Station is the fastest bus to the AIE. It leaves every 10 minutes in peak hour and stops near the Powerhouse Museum on Harris Street. It's just a short walk from there to AIE's entrance on Wattle Street. Additionally, there are a number of buses that stop along Broadway or on Glebe Point Road. Visit 131500.com.au for more bus Information.
AIE Sydney campus is a pleasant 20 minute walk through the city from either Central or Town Hall stations.
The Sydney campus is conveniently located just 2-minutes from Wentworth Park Light Rail Station.
The driveway into the AIE is off Wattle street, in the one-way section between William Henry Street and Bridge Road. Because it's in the one-way section, you must be heading towards the Anzac bridge on approach. The driveway entrance is opposite Fig Street, which is the best turn off to the Harbour Bridge and where Wattle Street becomes two-way so if you pass that, you've gone too far.
- Student Concessions are applicable to AIE Sydney students for discounts on rail travel, movie viewing, student software and much more.
- All Advanced Diploma courses are AUSTUDY and VET Student Loans approved.
Students who are moving to Sydney to study with AIE will no doubt be looking for a place to call home for the next few years. There are a range of options available to students and AIE is happy to assist and provide guidance to students who may be unfamiliar with the area.
As we are located amongst a number of other educational institutions, there is a lot of student accommodation options in the immediate area. Students may choose to source their own student accommodation through sites like Gumtree.com.au or flatmatefinder.com.au, or, choose a structured student accommodation environment like iglu.com.au, urbanest.com.au or unilodge.com.au (we don’t endorse any particular product and acknowledge that there are probably some very valid options we have no listed here). We are also happy to put notices up on our internal notice boards as our student’s often have room to rent in their places or might also be looking for accommodation at the same time.
AIE’s Student Liaison Officers are on hand to provide guidance in the area if required.
