Discover the courses designed to get you started in game development, 3D animation, film and visual effects at the AIE Open Day on ** aie_event_date **. This event will be held at AIE Campuses in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and Adelaide.
AIE’s Open Day is a great opportunity to meet our teachers, staff and students. The day will cover everything you need to know about the:
- careers in games and VFX that we train students for;
- studios and industries that we work with;
- courses we offer – from beginners to professional mastery, and;
- the software, skills and knowledge we teach.
AIE’s Open Day will also include presentations on entry requirements and how to apply. Find out how AIE can get you into a creative career.

Open Day starts at 10am and runs until 3pm. Over the course of the day we will be running the following presentations:

AIE Courses and Career Pathways
The games and film industry continues to grow significantly both in Australia and overseas. During this session participants will be given an in-depth analysis of the industry as well as detailed information on the courses that AIE offers, and the application process.

GAME ART AND ANIMATION
Game artists create all the amazing graphics in the games you love to play. They are responsible for creating the characters, environments, all the visual effects plus a range of other tasks that impact on the visual style of the game.

GAME PROGRAMMING
Programmers are the wizards of the future! Game programmers are instrumental when it comes to creating the framework, functionality and interaction in a game.

GAME DESIGN AND PRODUCTION
Game Designers are instrumental in the development of the concepts, story and implementation of game play dynamics in video game production. They are the visionaries and evangelists and are vital in the development process. AIE’s Game Design and Production teachers will be providing information on the content of this course.

FILM AND VIRTUAL PRODUCTION
Discover what it takes to tell stories using film as your medium and the latest in virtual production technology. This session will provide an overview of AIE’s Film and Virtual Production course with information about the curriculum, equipment, software and practical skills students will develop in this course.

3D ANIMATION & VFX FOR FILM
3D artists create all the amazing visual content we see on our screens. This session will provide an in-depth look at AIE’s 3D Animation and VFX course with specific details on each of the units covered in the course. Teachers will also be showcasing work from some of this year’s students.

Starting your own studio with GDML & AIE Incubator
The AIE incubator Program is the only initiative of its kind and is designed to nurture the next generation of game and film developers as they create business units and commercialise their products. AIE’s Incubator Coordinators will be talking about the program and the opportunity it provides for AIE’s graduates.

Alumni & Industry guest speakers
