Artificial Stupidity: Is AI really smart? Watch this funny animated short by AIE students
From the brilliant minds of our VFX students studying via the online campus, comes Artificial Stupidity. This animated short explores the trials and tribulations of life as a security guard as a droid finds out he locked his keys inside his booth. His battery is running low and must find a way inside.
The team was made up of students from all across Australia, places such as Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and more! Calling themselves No Alias Productions, the team consisted of Jacob Rose, Elissa Bonavia, Nadia Blazina De Flego, Sarah Brown, Emma Suringa and Russell Wilson.
When chatting to Nadia, she highlighted the benefits of working on a great project “We were really lucky to be in a team with a vast array of different skills and specialties where we could all present work that highlighted each of us. Additionally, to be thrown into such a big project with so few people it was really nice to step outside of our comfort zones too and have to figure out ways to fix roadblocks we encountered on the fly.”
“There were some issues that we faced along the way, but because we worked well together and had good communication it didn't cause too much of a delay in the overall schedule and we always got back on track. “ Jacob commented
Studying online allows our students' flexibility to balance their work and studies, whilst also allowing people of all backgrounds to work together. This can lead to some amazing projects as everyone bands together to create games and films that are beautiful.
No Alias Productions did an amazing job, and it will be so exciting to see where they go next as they finish up their studies.
