Terms and Conditions

  1. Instructions on how to enter and prize information forms part of these Terms & Conditions. Participation in this competition is deemed as acceptance of these terms.
  2. To enter this competition, you must fully and correctly complete the form located at aie.edu.au/comp including answering in 25 words or less, the question “What would you create with this laptop if you won?”. You do not need to select ‘Yes’ to the question “Are you interested in studying at AIE?” to be entered into the competition. Entries over 25 words will be disqualified. Rude or offensive entries are prohibited and will be disqualified. Entrants who are suspected to have entered multiple times will be disqualified.
  3. Entry is open to Australian residents who are not current or former AIE students or Game Plus members.
  4. The competition will close 28 January 2020 at 5pm AEST.
  5. The winner will receive: 1 x MSI GE65 Raider 9SE laptop and 1x voucher redeemable for a $250 discount on an AIE course.
  6. The winner will be determined by a judging panel made up of AIE marketing staff. The eligible entry (as per clause 2) deemed by the panel to be the best, most creative entry will win. Two runners-up will also be selected, but only contacted if the winner forfeits their prize (see clause 7). The winner will be notified via email if they have won the prize. You agree the judge's determination will be final and no further correspondence after the determination may take place to manipulate, modify or otherwise change the result.
  7. The prize winner will be announced on 31 January 2020. The prize winner will have 10 business days to respond to the prize announcement email and provide their Australian postal address for the prize to be shipped to. If the email is not responded to in this time, the prize is forfeit and will be offered to a second eligible entrant. If this entrant forfeits the prize, it will be offered to a third eligible entrant. If that entrant forfeits the prize, the prize will be donated to a charitable organisation, chosen at the discretion of The Academy of Interactive Entertainment Ltd. You agree that your prize will be considered received by you once AIE has receipt that the prize has been posted, and AIE will not be held responsible for loss, damage or non-delivery of the prize after posting.
  8. Entrant details will be collated for prize selection. If you check the box labelled “I consent to AIE contacting me about study, courses or other offers”, your details will also be collected for AIE to contact you about study, courses and other offers. Not checking this box does not affect your chances of winning. Your details will not be shared with third parties.
