Introduction to 3D Modelling and Texturing

This introductory short course has been designed to develop your skills and knowledge in 3D asset creation and texturing using Autodesk Maya, the most widely used 3D animation software used in the games, visual effects and simulation industries. At the end of the course you will have modelled and textured your own 3D asset to establish or enhance your portfolio of work.

During the course you will also learn how to create textures using Krita, a professional digital painting program, and export your 3D assets to Sketchfab, an online platform used to showcase 3D models through desktop pc, mobile devices or virtual reality headsets.
