Welcome Laurie Costabile

AIE are pleased to welcome Laurie Costabile as the new Head of School at AIE's Melbourne Campus.

Laurie is experienced in all aspects of Educational Management and Leadership with expertise in Information Technology, Computer Science and training implementation. He has influenced curriculum development in the private and public sectors with particular focus on emerging industry trends. Graduating from Victoria and Melbourne Universities, Laurie worked as a Analyst Programmer with various organizations and was heavily involved in creative industries within the music arena. With over 19 years experience in education, training and the tertiary sector, Laurie has gained extensive knowledge at choice Universities like RMIT, Swinburne, Melbourne, Central Queensland and Victoria Universities. He has occupied various positions such as Head of school of a very large and progressive Business School with over 130 staff members, an Associate Director of  TAFE, Head of Department in Business IT, a Director of VET Programs and as a Senior Manager of Teaching and Learning.

Laurie has also captained a leading privately owned registered training organization developing strategies and innovative programs in conjunction with industry, international partners and government stake holders.

When I asked Laurie to describe his vision for AIE Melbourne in 5 five words, Laurie replied quickly: "Industry-Attached, Creative, Practical, Passionate-Leaders and Sound". He is passionate about creating Industry relevant educational programs that embrace future educational and industry trends.

Laurie also said, that Game development is one of the fastest growing digital media industries in the world. So, why are so many other institutes and providers not keeping up?

AIE have been shaping the creative digital industry here is Australia and throughout the world since its inception, Laurie said. AIE are trend-setters in the delivery of educational programs in this arena. We offer outstanding educational programs that encourage thought and reason, imagination and creativity. AIE provides that personal attention that inspires, opens eyes, opens hearts and opens doors for our students and graduates.

With our world renowned programs in Professional Games Development and our creative partnerships, we are recognized as leaders in creative digital education. Our graduates acquire employment in a variety of industries with an exceedingly high number of graduates employed in Games Development, Film and the Digital content industries. We will continue to listen to our industry partners and implement new student capabilities within our programs.

We will continue to provide quality educational programs whilst leading the way for many other providers as we have done for many years.
