Industry Connections

AIE Melbourne fosters strong connections with all of the local game development houses and 3D animation studios, giving our students ‘real’ pathways into the games and 3D industries. We provide students with the opportunity to talk to industry professionals through guest lectures, seminars and industry open days; providing opportunities for learning, networking and showcasing of student portfolios to potential employers.

Much of the course work is designed to provide students with a learning environment that emulates industry type experience. While detailed instruction is provided, problem solving is encouraged as this is what students will face when working in the industry.

AIE Melbourne is the first place games studios visit when looking for skilled artists and programmers resulting in over 75% of 2005 graduates employed in the Games and related 3D industries.
