2008 Applications
AIE keeps the application process for all courses as easy as possible and our Student Liaison Officers are here to support you through the application process, so if you have any questions about the application process or the courses please don't hesitate to contact us.
The application process is broken up into three stages.
Stage One:
Choose your course and download the application form. Information on each of the full time courses can be found here. Application forms for each course can be downloaded from:
- Certificate IV in 3D Animation for Games and Film (Canberra Campus)
- Certificate IV in Screen (Melbourne Campus)
- Certificate IV in Information Technology (Melbourne & Canberra Campus)
Stage Two:
Once your application is received you will be contacted via mail with a time for an informal interview. Think of the interview as a friendly chat with a teacher about your ambitions, goals and skills. For interstate students interviews can be conducted over the phone.
At this stage, students applying for arts courses will need to submit a portfolio of artwork at the interview. Students applying for programming courses will need to provide evidence of previous programming experiences. Please contact your nearest campus for advice on what to include in your portfolio.
Stage Three:
On completion of the interview you will be notified of your acceptance into the course or a recommended course of action to gain entry for 2008.
You can complete the enrollment forms immediately following the interview or you can attend a nominated enrollment day. For interstate students, you will need to complete the enrollment process in person at any time prior to commencement of the course.
Students applying for direct entry into second year programs are encouraged to contact either Canberra or Melbourne campus before sending in their application. For international students, click here for information on applying.
